The Mobile World Congress returns to Barcelona
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is returning to Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. On February 27, the technology fair, one of the most important in the world, will kick off a new edition in which it hopes to bring together 80,000 people and generate an impact in the region of around 350 million euros.
As the organization explained, this edition will focus especially on the need to expand global internet connectivity and on the potential of networks such as 5G or even 6G. However, there will also be much talk about other trends such as mobile telephony —the market that initially starred in this congress—, cloud computing, the Internet of Things, the so-called metaverse and the emergence of artificial intelligence, a term fashion in the technology sector
The Mobile will have the participation of 2,000 companies from different fields and 1,000 speakers, 40% of whom are women. Among the large companies summoned to the fair will be Amazon, Telefónica, Meta (formerly known as Facebook), Samsung, Microsoft or Huawei, which will once again be the largest exhibitor at the fairgrounds.
How to get to MWC 2023?
Without a doubt, the best option to get to the Congress from any of our apartments is by Taxi. Keep in mind that the demand will be high and the traffic in the vicinity of the Congress will be intense. Book your taxi or go with time to spare.
The other option is to take the subway. To do this you must get to the "Espanya" station with the L3 and from there take the L8 to "Europa / Fira".
These large crowded events are often targets for criminals and cybercriminals, so we urge you to exercise caution and keep an eye on your belongings. Take only official Taxis, always ask for the ticket, let yourself be advised by the staff at your accommodation and above all, use common sense. If something doesn't give you good vibes, avoid it.
