Now came the beautiful season of spring, the season of days filled with sunshine and smiles. Have a drink outdoors on the terraces of some cafes, stroll through charming streets of Barcelona or even in warmer and sunnier days go to the beach of Barceloneta to sunbathe at one of chiringuitos – small beach bars where they serve cocktails, fast food and cafes.
Here you will find our advice of some terraces we love and which you will not find in the typical Barcelona guides.
Situated on the mountain Montjuic – the terrace Martinez became very famous as a place for paella & seafood lovers and his breathtaking views over the city and the sea. Restaurant – «arroceria», with waiters in Hawaiian shirts all with smiles and good vibes. If you come during the weekend, Sunday – here come modern and beautiful local people. 2. Surf House Barcelona
Barcelona is not Bali, still it has surfers, surf shops and surf cafes, and a good breakfast at Surf House Barcelona will make you feel almost like you’re by the ocean. Take a large surfboard-shaped table on the terrace and look through the menu which reflects the spot’s concept – quick, tasty and healthy. Start your day with some cereals or a €4 all-you-can-eat option. If you’re into something more substantial, go for a tuna&cheese sandwich. Make sure you also drop in at the end of the day, to try an Aussie-style kiwi&eucalyptus Mojito.

3. Cafe Turó
A cafe on the corner of the Turó Park, well-known in this district, looks like one of the traditional cafes in Paris: it has a cozy terrace where locals spend time sipping from a cup of coffee or a glass of Rioja. It’s nice to sit down with a coffee and freshly-baked pastry and watch the residents of the other «fancy» Barcelona, be it a 60 year-old. lady going to have her hair done in the nearest beauty salon or a baby-sitter taking children for a walk in the park.

4. Antic Teatre
The lively terrace of a small experimental theater, which lies under a branchy tree decorated with blue fairy lights, may not seem particularly cozy at first sight. But when you draw nearer, you notice that plastic chairs and tables stand really close to each other, and that ahead of each premiere the theatre is packed out. It offers weird performances, for example, the one where a completely naked man plays the saw for three hours; though the prices for wine, so generously poured into tall glasses compensate such an extravagant theatre program. It is a hotspot for young creative people and cheerful hippies, so come and join them.

Located in one of the most charming streets in Barcelona, Enric Granados, this restaurant has a fantastic terrace right on the promenade, surrounded by other restaurants, flower and photography shops. Here you eat well, there is food for any taste, mostly tapas – do not miss meat dishes, Galician octopus, “pardón” peppers and incredible desserts. We recommend you sit on the terrace with a few drinks and tapas and watch the day do by in this part of town. Dinner per person with alcohol apprx 30-40Eur
