1.La Boqueria market

this is the most famous food market in Barcelona.Accessible via La Rambla,this market has attracted tourists for decades with it’s wonderful aromas and magnificent colourful stalls.Although it is a very popular tourist attraction it still retains plenty of authenticity and charm.
exotic fruits, vegetables, fish and meat as well as a couple of fantastic tapas bars.La Boqueria offers ready-made fresh fruit salads,fresh mushrooms, literally fresh out of the sea still moving crabs and lobsters ,chocolate and salamis,etc.You can also pick up a refreshing fruit smoothie, or just stroll through to soak up the unique atmosphere.

2.Sant Antoni market

Another popular market is Sant Antoni which local Barcelona residents claim is even livelier, fresher, and much more authentic than La Boqueria.
On Sundays from 08:00 – 15:00 just outside the market there is a book and coin market for all the collectors out there. You will find a tremendous assortment of old books, magazines, comics and postcards.

3.Santa Caterina market

Santa Caterina market is located only 5 minutes walk from the Boqueria. It could be considered the little sister of the famous one. If you want to run away from the crowds of tourists in the Boqueria (the most famous market in Barcelona), this is definitely going to be your favorite market in Barcelona: similar offer and less people.There are over 100 food stalls, restaurants and an amazing polychrome roof designed as a billowing magic carpet and covered with ceramic tiles. Over one hundred market stalls, several cafes and one of Barcelona’s best restaurants called Cuines Santa-Caterina.However,the market was recently renovated and it doesn’t have the same charm as the Ramblas market.
