The Big Draw is the biggest world drawing festival! It runs from 1 October to 3 November in twenty countries and 280,000 people expected to join in over 1000+ events.
The Big Draw offers thousands of fun,enjoyable, and mainly free, drawing activities which connect people of all ages. These events are for those who love to draw, as well as for those who think they can’t!
Organised by The Campaign for Drawing, the project has spread all over the world! On Sunday, October 19th, you will be able to enjoy 24 free workshops in Barcelona.The event starts at 11am and finish at 7pm!
The event was first introduced in London in 2010 and aims to facilitate access to the world of art and culture through the experience of drawing.
This year the Barcelona’s fifth edition of the Big Draw festival will be held at the Picasso Museum.The museum and some other nearby spaces and organisations will host drawing activities and workshops.They will be supported by renowned artists (designers,illustrators,cartoonists) and other professionals such as photographers and architects. All of them are really looking forward to sharing their knowledge with the participants of the workshops.Their aim is to encourage all the people in the world to draw spontaneously,freely and at no charge.
The workshops are open for everyone,big and small.. Everyone who wants to have a good time drawing and have fun.People will be provided with all the techniques they might need such as pencils, markers, wool, brushes and more!
The workshops are spread around different places in the area around the Picasso´s Museum in the neighborhoods of La Ribera, Santa Caterina and Sant Pere.
